Support Policy

1. What support means

Support payments to World Clap Day are made to WORLD CLAP DAY LTD, a company registered in England and Wales.

Support packages shown on the Support page are exchanged for payment. By completing a payment, you purchase the selected support package and the digital recognition or access benefits described on the Support page.

Support is not a charitable donation and is not tax deductible.

By supporting World Clap Day, you help fund the operation, development, and growth of the World Clap Day initiative.

In addition to fixed support packages, supporters may choose a custom support amount. In such cases, the payment is treated as a support purchase in exchange for digital recognition and/or access benefits, as described on the Support page.

2. Use of funds

Support contributions may be used for purposes including, but not limited to:

  • Website development and infrastructure
  • Tools for video creation and editing
  • Social media content production and distribution
  • Marketing and outreach
  • Community coordination
  • Event planning and production
  • Team and contractor support

The allocation of funds is determined by World Clap Day based on project needs.

3. Supporter recognition and digital thank you

As part of a support package, we may provide digital assets and recognition.

These may include recognition on the website, digital badges, credits, thank you messages, invitations, or other digital supporter benefits, as described on the Support page.

Supporter benefits are digital only. Some benefits may be delivered immediately, while others may be delivered later based on project milestones and production timelines.

Supporter benefits are provided on a best effort basis, particularly during the early stages of the project.

4. Display names and moderation

Supporters may choose a display name to appear on the Clapper's Wall. The display name does not need to be your real name.

If a support package includes a public message option, supporters may also submit a message to be displayed publicly as part of the selected package.

Display names and messages are subject to moderation. We reserve the right to edit, mask (for example using ***), or remove content that contains offensive, inappropriate, misleading, or unlawful content, or that violates our Terms of Use.

The final decision regarding moderation rests with World Clap Day.

5. Privacy

Limited personal data may be processed to deliver digital thank you rewards and supporter recognition, as described in our Privacy Policy.

By supporting World Clap Day, you acknowledge and agree to the processing of your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You may request removal of your display name from the Clapper's Wall at any time by contacting hello@worldclapday.com.

6. Refunds and cancellations

Because support packages include digital assets and digital recognition or access, they cannot be returned once delivered or made available.

All support package purchases are final and non refundable once any digital asset or benefit has been delivered or made available, including cases where a supporter does not use or access the digital asset or benefit.

If you believe a payment was made in error, or there was a technical issue that prevented delivery, please contact us at hello@worldclapday.com within 14 days of the payment date.

If we confirm that the purchased digital asset or benefit was not delivered as described due to a technical issue on our side, we may issue a refund or provide an alternative delivery at our discretion.

This does not affect any statutory rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
